BHSA Ethics in Prevention: A Guide for Substance Abuse Prevention Practitioners

Description: This one-and-a-half-day workshop addresses the role and application of ethics in substance abuse prevention.  Using cases and interactive activities, participants will explore the six standards in the Prevention Code of Ethics and learn to use a four-step decision-making process to assess, address, and evaluate a range of ethical issues.

Note: This training meets the requirements set by the SCAPPA Certification Commission for individuals seeking their 6 hour Prevention Ethics training for certification purposes.

Objectives:

1.  To understand prevention standards and ethical issues

2.  To learn how to make ethical decisions in prevention practice

Credit: 8.75 hours (Attendees are required to be present during the entire training)
